Caxias do Sul were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Jurassic Monsters SA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tarcisio Mangueira took the corner. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Esen Sanal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save S.E.R. Caxias do Sul from getting a goal against them. Esen Sanal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Magno do Valle in the 26th minute of the match. Lucio Siekkötter scored 0-2 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yiğitcan İstanbullu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Esen Sanal got control of the ball when Luiz Fabiano Lima tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luiz Fabiano Lima in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Esen Sanal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Renan Lago kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Luiz Fabiano Lima had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Esen Sanal. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Fabiano Lima was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Yiğitcan İstanbullu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Siekkötter in the 42nd minute of play. A collision led to S.E.R. Caxias do Sul getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Krisztián Véber hit a great ball. Percy Rocha hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. In the 49th match minute, Jurassic Monsters SA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Percy Rocha to maneuver through the defense. In the 50th minute Breno Vergílio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yiğitcan İstanbullu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luiz Fabiano Lima to make the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 61 minutes, Yiğitcan İstanbullu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Jurassic Monsters SA's Yiğitcan İstanbullu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucio Siekkötter in the 71st minute of play. After 82 minutes of play, Jurassic Monsters SA's Luiz Fabiano Lima made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Esen Sanal was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jurassic Monsters SA made a substitution. Denílson Souto replaced Luiz Fabiano Lima. In the 87th minute, Ricardinho de Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 88th minute Pedro Grandis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esen Sanal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucio Siekkötter got free with Yiğitcan İstanbullu in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
