Santiago Haitz went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Fabio Ubelteso got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jerome Canning quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 15thth minute of the game Jimeno Berdoi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Witney City's Jerome Canning was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tim Hurren took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hermengildo Fiz. Hermengildo Fiz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Jimeno Berdoi managed to get in a good position for a shot. EL FIRULETE's supporters rose to their feet, but Jimeno Berdoi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jerome Canning breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jerome Canning showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Barto in the 28th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Enrique Barto made a precise shot to the right of Jerome Canning. Witney City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a rather tough play, EL FIRULETE's Eugenios Papadogiorgakis got a free kick in the 34th minute. Hermengildo Fiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tim Hurren in the 36th minute of the match. If Jimeno Berdoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jimeno Berdoi to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaston Alfonso in the 51st minute of play forced Witney City's goalkeeper Jerome Canning to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 52nd minute of the match EL FIRULETE got a corner. Witney City's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Santiago Haitz ran over to the corner to take the kick. Witney City's Jerome Canning played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimeno Berdoi in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Jimeno Berdoi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jerome Canning was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Tim Hurren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hermengildo Fiz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Norberto Endura made in the 67th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Vicente Pelayo. If Gaston Alfonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of EL FIRULETE booed when Witney City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommy Bond didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaston Alfonso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerome Canning having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Gaston Alfonso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jerome Canning was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. If Jimeno Berdoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gaston Alfonso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Jerome Canning tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
