The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Janusz Lamczyk stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Cesate's zone, Janusz Lamczyk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manolis Peridis came out of the goal and Janusz Lamczyk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Cesate booed when MZ Zagłębie Sosnowiec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roland Gotfryd didn't get a good kick on the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Cesate's Kay Stormlund sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leonard Olejasz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Attilio Mazzone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonard Olejasz having to interfere. Leonard Olejasz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kay Stormlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonard Olejasz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustaw Nienajadlo's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute.
