Claudio Berriotxoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Normando, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the match, SAN LORENZO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lisandro Ruy came free, but Claudio Berriotxoa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Lisandro Ruy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horacio Remir made in the 24th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Jhon Snow however managed to control. Lisandro Ruy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Berriotxoa having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Leandro Normando got free with Claudio Berriotxoa in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dionisio Cuervo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Claudio Berriotxoa having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dionisio Cuervo in the 87th minute of play forced SAN LORENZO FC's goalkeeper Claudio Berriotxoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SAN LORENZO FC:s Claudio Berriotxoa showed great skill when he stopped Leandro Normando:s penalty. Leandro Normando took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claudio Berriotxoa. Claudio Berriotxoa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2.
