Hortêncio Montenegro started the match with the kick off. When Waldemar da Mata fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's protests and gave Waldemar da Mata a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's Waldemar da Mata got a free kick in the 3rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lisandro Mikolas in the 6th minute of play forced Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Lúcio Miranda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lúcio Miranda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hortêncio Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ. fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s Hortêncio Montenegro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 13 minutes into the game, Artemio Jaizki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ the free kick. Artemio Jaizki hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Alex de Medeiros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Nilton Lira made a huge save. After 14 minutes, Lisandro Mikolas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ. and the Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lúcio Miranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hortêncio Montenegro in the 16th minute of play. After 22 played minutes Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Waldemar da Mata. Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nereo Inge in the 24th minute. After a rather tough play, Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's Waldemar da Mata got a free kick in the 26th minute. Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's Lúcio Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lisandro Mikolas in the 27th minute of play. Lúcio Miranda came out of the goal and Hortêncio Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anacleto Sobera's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nilton Lira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anacleto Sobera to make the kick off. Nilton Lira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex de Medeiros in the 51st minute of the match. If Lisandro Mikolas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danilo Ellande hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anacleto Sobera in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nilton Lira saved Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ. from getting behind. In the 63rd minute, Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's Norberto Ferraz seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Norberto Ferraz the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Norberto Ferraz had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 63rd minute of the game. One of Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.:s goal. The goalkeeper, Lúcio Miranda, was totally fooled by Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s Lisandro Mikolas, who 65 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 69th minute Lisandro Mikolas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio Miranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute Rigoberto Tohias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio Miranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aaron Hegoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Lúcio Miranda made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adrián Czornomaz in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lúcio Miranda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Adrián Czornomaz took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Lúcio Miranda to make any attempt to save it. In the 86th minute Adrián Czornomaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio Miranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th match minute, Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waldemar da Mata to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Waldemar da Mata hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ defense, Lisandro Mikolas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lúcio Miranda. The Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lúcio Miranda should have stopped the shot. Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
