After 2 played minutes Attard Gunners got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Izzo. 3 minutes into the match, Meerkats FC's Julian Debono sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mario Gellel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 12 minutes into the match, Meerkats FC's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Testaferrata Olivier came free, but Fredric Hansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrè Tedesco hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Meerkats FC's Fredric Hansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Testaferrata Olivier in the 18th minute of play. Fredric Hansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joshua Demanuele, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute, Christopher Bugelli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 24 minutes into the match, Meerkats FC's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Izzo came free, but Fredric Hansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Vincent Callus could shoot a difficult shot in the 28th minute, which Mario Gellel however easily saved by the left post. 29 minutes into the match, Michael Testaferrata Olivier had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fredric Hansson. Meerkats FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Michael Testaferrata Olivier was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Meerkats FC's Fredric Hansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrea Xuereb in the 32nd minute of play. After 33 played minutes Meerkats FC got a freekick which was hit by Amadeo Darmanin. Fredric Hansson came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Attard Gunners's Patrick Izzo. But to his dismay, Patrick Izzo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Fredric Hansson came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Attard Gunners's Michael Testaferrata Olivier. But to his dismay, Michael Testaferrata Olivier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. In the 39th match minute, Attard Gunners was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrea Xuereb to maneuver through the defense. Meerkats FC's Fredric Hansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Testaferrata Olivier in the 46th minute of play. Fredric Hansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Izzo in the 48th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernard Degabriele stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patrick Izzo in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fredric Hansson saved Meerkats FC from getting behind. In the 54th minute, Patrick Izzo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Attard Gunners fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. In the 62nd minute of the match Attard Gunners got a corner. Meerkats FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Clayton Brockdorff ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Clayton Brockdorff got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fredric Hansson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Mario Gellel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vincent Callus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute of the match Meerkats FC got a corner. Attard Gunners's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gilbert Incorvaia ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 69thth minute of the game Vincent Callus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Attard Gunners's Mario Gellel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fredric Hansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Izzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After 72 played minutes Meerkats FC got a freekick which was hit by Clint Schembri. With a little luck, Meerkats FC's Fredric Hansson got control of the ball when Michael Testaferrata Olivier tried to sneak it across the goal line. After taking down the ball on Attard Gunners's corner Clayton Brockdorff fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fredric Hansson quite easily take care of the ball. Vincent Callus scored 1-5 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mario Gellel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Robert Portanier kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Meerkats FC's goalkeeper Fredric Hansson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Michael Testaferrata Olivier. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vincent Callus during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 90th minute, Vincent Callus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Michael Testaferrata Olivier came free with the goalkeeper in the 91st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fredric Hansson could save by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patrick Izzo during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 94th minute, Patrick Izzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 95 minutes into the game, Julian Debono was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Meerkats FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Attard Gunners the free kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Attard Gunners walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
