Thanks to some nice moves Joshua Demanuele could shoot a difficult shot in the 22nd minute, which Samuel Demicoli however easily saved by the left post. Samuel Demicoli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Izzo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 37th minute of the game. One of Templars FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Attard Gunners:s goal. After 41 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Templars FC! Samuel Demicoli went to the wrong direction when Patrick Izzo was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Templars FC's attentive Martin Manicolo managed to snatch the ball when Clayton Brockdorff made a throw-in in the 43rd minute of the game. Michael Testaferrata Olivier in the 48thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Samuel Demicoli, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patrick Izzo to make the kick off. Templars FC's Samuel Demicoli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Testaferrata Olivier in the 55th minute of play. After 58 played minutes Templars FC got a freekick which was hit by Kurt Abdilla. In the 61st minute of the match Templars FC got a corner. Attard Gunners's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Benedict Cumberbatch ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Benedict Cumberbatch got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mario Gellel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Samuel Demicoli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Izzo in the 62nd minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Templars FC's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Izzo came free, but Samuel Demicoli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Attard Gunners's Mario Gellel got control of the ball when Kurt Abdilla tried to sneak it across the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Attard Gunners's goalkeeper Mario Gellel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kurt Abdilla. Samuel Demicoli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 92nd match minute, Templars FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Manicolo to maneuver through the defense. 96 minutes into the match, Templars FC's goal looked a bit too open when Andrea Xuereb came free, but Samuel Demicoli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 98 minutes into the match, Templars FC's Kurt Abdilla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mario Gellel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 100 minutes had been played when some careless play by Attard Gunners's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Benedict Cumberbatch was slow to take the kick. During this time Templars FC's players had a chance to rest. There was no doubt that Attard Gunners were the better team. Attard Gunners's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
