The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bernard Degabriele to strike the kick off in the second half. Clayton Gerada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Debono, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fredric Hansson came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Seraċini Għawdxin's Richard Pavia. But to his dismay, Richard Pavia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Fredric Hansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdomiro Velasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Fredric Hansson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Shawn Seracino Inglott went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-3 was the resulting score. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Seraċini Għawdxin fans cheered their team off the field, for while Meerkats FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
