Vavrinec Koleno charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vavrinec Koleno the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Slovakia getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Vavrinec Koleno hit a great ball. Henrich Slany made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Malvin Lana sent off a good shot on target. Oliver Holub sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the match, Manchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Metod Mlynar came free, but Argider Ferrero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Florian Adans short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Henrich Slany to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 33 minutes, Metod Mlynar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Slovakia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Metod Mlynar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Metod Mlynar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Argider Ferrero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes in the game Eugenio Penas did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Naelio Ozaolaza. In the 45th match minute, Slovakia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Metod Mlynar to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute of the match, Florian Adan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Henrich Slany saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Metod Mlynar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Oliver Holub might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Argider Ferrero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oliver Holub ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Metod Mlynar got free with Argider Ferrero in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Manchester United's Argider Ferrero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Manchester United from getting a goal against them. Metod Mlynar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Argider Ferrero having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Metod Mlynar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Slovakia's supporters rose to their feet, but Metod Mlynar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Argider Ferrero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ondrej Biskup made in the 73rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Metod Mlynar however managed to control. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Manchester United's goalkeeper Argider Ferrero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 74th match minute, Slovakia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Metod Mlynar to maneuver through the defense. Slovakia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pavol Koleno in the 89th minute. Argider Ferrero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Metod Mlynar in the 92nd minute. Metod Mlynar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Argider Ferrero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
