MINEIROS's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Quadros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melquiades Gaztea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ulises Eudoxio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joel Quadros got free with Melquiades Gaztea in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Melquiades Gaztea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hugo Albuquerque went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Melquiades Gaztea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Quadros in the 57th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as MINEIROS's Toninho Goiano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Melquiades Gaztea. That made the score 0-3 after 58 minutes of play. Serginho Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulises Eudoxio in the 65th minute of play. In the 69th minute, João Paraíba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. MINEIROS's Nico de Mendonça was substituted for Benê Amorim. The 刀モ尸ロ尺イﾉレロ イﾉG尺モら™ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. MINEIROS were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
