Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hélder Velasco in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robustiano Cordarrel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 12 minutes into the match, Fortinducto's goal looked a bit too open when Habib Ali Picavea came free, but Robustiano Cordarrel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Fortinducto booed when Morro Grande E.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Sá didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Fortinducto's Amadeo Baladi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gláuber Brodel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hélder Velasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Robustiano Cordarrel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Freddy Martxelin's late challenge caught a Morro Grande E.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Freddy Martxelin helped the player get up and apologised. Freddy Martxelin kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Habib Ali Picavea struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Robustiano Cordarrel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Morro Grande E.C. Gláuber Brodel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeo Baladi in the 22nd minute of the match. Morro Grande E.C's Habib Ali Picavea suffered a concussion in the 28th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. When Bernardino Tercero fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fortinducto's protests and gave Bernardino Tercero a yellow card for diving instead. Bernardino Tercero kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Toninho Grau managed to get in a good position for a shot. Morro Grande E.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Toninho Grau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robustiano Cordarrel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Hélder Velasco came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Morro Grande E.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hélder Velasco couldn't finish the play. Carlos Etxeberri kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 35 minutes into the game, Arnoldo Pirro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fortinducto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Morro Grande E.C the free kick. Arnoldo Pirro hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Robustiano Cordarrel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorginho Mazza in the 36th minute of the match. In the 37th minute of the match Morro Grande E.C got a corner. Fortinducto's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Toninho Grau ran over to the corner to take the kick. Robustiano Cordarrel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredinho Vieira in the 44th minute of the match. After the first half Morro Grande E.C were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amadeo Baladi to make the kick off. Robustiano Cordarrel was a little too slow when Jorginho Mazza got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 51st minute. The score was now 0-2. In the 58th match minute, Morro Grande E.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toninho Caca-Rato to maneuver through the defense. Gláuber Brodel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeo Baladi, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Jorginho Mazza in the 61stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Robustiano Cordarrel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 62 played minutes Fortinducto got a freekick which was hit by Celso Sandaili. In the 62nd minute of the match Toninho Grau shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Robustiano Cordarrel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With his leg Robustiano Cordarrel managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Morro Grande E.C's Jorginho Mazza fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jorginho Mazza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Robustiano Cordarrel made a huge save. Morro Grande E.C made a substitution. Toninho Soeiro replaced Kaká Sampaio. After a rather tough play, Fortinducto's Arnoldo Pirro got a free kick in the 72nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hélder Velasco in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robustiano Cordarrel saved Fortinducto from getting behind. Alfredinho Vieira kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. When Toninho Grau fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Morro Grande E.C's protests and gave Toninho Grau a yellow card for diving instead. Robustiano Cordarrel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorginho Mazza in the 78th minute of the match.
