Lech Pisarcik's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan Tomaszewski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Zielonka Gdansk's Jan Tomaszewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lech Pisarcik in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Andreas Billing hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jan Tomaszewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lech Pisarcik, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Lech Pisarcik took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jan Tomaszewski. Jan Tomaszewski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Artur Boruc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Pyrzyce, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 21st minute, Mariusz Flis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Poland's Damazy Joks slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jan Tomaszewski. That made the score 3-0 after 22 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Pyrzyce in the 25th minute of play forced Poland's goalkeeper Artur Boruc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The nice shot from Feliks Wojton in the 27thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Jan Tomaszewski had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Damazy Joks could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Jan Tomaszewski made a huge save. Jan Tomaszewski was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Damazy Joks showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 29 minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Poland's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Pyrzyce came free, but Artur Boruc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan Tomaszewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lech Pisarcik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Poland's Artur Boruc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Augustyniak in the 37th minute of play. Artur Boruc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Huang Kuan Liang in the 40th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Feliks Wojton could shoot a difficult shot in the 43rd minute, which Jan Tomaszewski however easily saved by the left post. When Zielonka Gdansk's Sebastian Pyrzyce in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Poland's goalie prevented a goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Damazy Joks was the one to do the kick off. Jan Tomaszewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damazy Joks in the 53rd minute of play. Jan Tomaszewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lech Pisarcik in the 56th minute of the match. Jan Tomaszewski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Damazy Joks's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. When Feliks Wojton fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Poland's protests and gave Feliks Wojton a yellow card for diving instead. Feliks Wojton hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Poland made a substitution. Marek Czech replaced Damazy Joks. After a rather tough play, Poland's Feliks Wojton got a free kick in the 65th minute. Zielonka Gdansk made a substitution. Walery Zawada replaced Ben Hart. In the 72nd minute, Marek Czech ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan Tomaszewski was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Jan Tomaszewski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marek Czech went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. 81 minutes into the match, Marek Czech had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan Tomaszewski. Zielonka Gdansk's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marek Czech was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marek Czech in the 85th minute of play forced Zielonka Gdansk's goalkeeper Jan Tomaszewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan Tomaszewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marek Czech in the 88th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Poland were the better team. Poland's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
