An unexpectedly hard shot by Steve Burmeister in the 5th minute of play forced Challenger RT's goalkeeper Szczepan Zworski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jose Nuñez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zenon Czermak in the 7th minute. Camilo Ferran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Szczepan Zworski having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Challenger RT's Matei Zamfira dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Baldomiro Laurgain managed to get in a good position for a shot. ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄'s supporters rose to their feet, but Baldomiro Laurgain was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Szczepan Zworski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38thth minute of the game Camilo Ferran who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Challenger RT's Szczepan Zworski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄'s Jose Nuñez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matei Zamfira in the 39th minute of play. Ziemowit Kostka's late challenge caught a ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ziemowit Kostka helped the player get up and apologised. Nereo Serapio might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Szczepan Zworski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nereo Serapio ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 41st minute Nereo Serapio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Szczepan Zworski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tolek Oborski hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Zenon Czermak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Jose Nuñez made a huge save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Camilo Ferran was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes Challenger RT got a freekick which was hit by Tolek Oborski. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steve Burmeister in the 53rd minute of play forced Challenger RT's goalkeeper Szczepan Zworski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Zenon Czermak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Challenger RT's Szczepan Zworski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Challenger RT from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matei Zamfira in the 59th minute of play forced ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄'s goalkeeper Jose Nuñez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Baldomiro Laurgain could shoot a difficult shot in the 60th minute, which Szczepan Zworski however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄ getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Costin Ivasiuc hit a great ball. Witalis Solarek took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jose Nuñez. ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Ziemowit Kostka was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 65 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Challenger RT's Ziemowit Kostka got a free kick in the 66th minute. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Camilo Ferran took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Szczepan Zworski to make any attempt to save it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Steve Burmeister in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Szczepan Zworski saved Challenger RT from getting behind. After 72 minutes Challenger RT's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nereo Serapio who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄'s corner Nereo Serapio fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Szczepan Zworski quite easily take care of the ball. With a little luck, Challenger RT's Szczepan Zworski got control of the ball when Camilo Ferran tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Camilo Ferran got free with Szczepan Zworski in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 77th match minute, Challenger RT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tolek Oborski to maneuver through the defense. ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄'s Epifanio Gomez was substituted for Baldomiro Laurgain. In the 78th match minute, Challenger RT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tolek Oborski to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Steve Burmeister's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Szczepan Zworski was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. The ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ► EL GRAN DOGO ◄ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
