Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eusebio Richie in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Melquiades Salvatore prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Melquiades Salvatore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apolo Aurken in the 6th minute of the match. Anacleto Admon's late challenge caught a La Scaloneta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anacleto Admon helped the player get up and apologised. 19 minutes into the game, Donato Nalo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético Atlanta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Scaloneta the free kick. In the 20th match minute, Club Atlético Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Nalo to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Rojelio charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Rojelio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pedro Rojelio hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After 25 played minutes, La Scaloneta's Segundo Birila shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Melquiades Salvatore came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La Scaloneta reached it. Pedro Rojelio got his second yellow card in the match during the 27th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 26th minute, one of Club Atlético Atlanta:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Club Atlético Atlanta. Melquiades Salvatore had in the 29thth minute some difficulties stopping Apolo Aurken's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Rene Luzea's late challenge caught a La Scaloneta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rene Luzea helped the player get up and apologised. In the 32nd minute, Rene Luzea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Rene Luzea got a free kick in the 35th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Segundo Birila managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Scaloneta's supporters rose to their feet, but Segundo Birila was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melquiades Salvatore breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Club Atlético Atlanta getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Rene Luzea hit a great ball. Guillermo Iago hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Melquiades Salvatore was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eusebio Richie showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 57 minute of play. The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when La Scaloneta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Iago didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albano Bemabe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Nalo in the 62nd minute of play. Albano Bemabe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artemio Jaunti in the 63rd minute of the match. Rosendo Sasoin in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Melquiades Salvatore, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 75th match minute, La Scaloneta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Segundo Birila to maneuver through the defense. Melquiades Salvatore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apolo Aurken, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Eusebio Richie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th minute, Apolo Aurken left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Scaloneta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Eusebio Richie put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Melquiades Salvatore. In the 91st minute Apolo Aurken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Salvatore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Atlético Atlanta's Melquiades Salvatore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apolo Aurken in the 92nd minute of play.
