After 10 played minutes Filomeno Pasqual rounded Destroyers F.C.'s defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. 17 minutes into the match, Destroyers F.C.'s Wilson Rosa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Basilio Jobo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Destroyers F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Wágner Arruda in the 18th minute. Destroyers F.C.'s Wágner Arruda was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Basilio Jobo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Filomeno Pasqual could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Nono Contreras made a huge save. Club Atlethico Talleres's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Arnoldo Orgaz in the 37th minute. In the 39th match minute, Club Atlethico Talleres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Estavan to maneuver through the defense. Destroyers F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Arnoldo Orgaz ran over to the corner to take the kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ranko Kvarantan in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nono Contreras prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 86 played minutes Destroyers F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Haroldo Massa. The supporters of Club Atlethico Talleres booed when Destroyers F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Cordeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Club Atlethico Talleres's Filomeno Pasqual in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Destroyers F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Destroyers F.C. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
