Mateo Michael was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. During this time GrassNuts FC's players had a chance to rest. 33 minutes into the match, GrassNuts FC's Philip Åkerman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mateo Michael narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Philip Åkerman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Philip Åkerman might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mateo Michael. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Philip Åkerman ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Nuevo Laredo's zone, Philip Åkerman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mateo Michael came out of the goal and Philip Åkerman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pierre-Emile Højbjerg hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The Atlético Nuevo Laredo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. GrassNuts FC were winning 0-6.

If Philip Åkerman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rigoberto Olentzaro during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of GrassNuts FC booed when Atlético Nuevo Laredo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Olentzaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mateo Michael acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 58th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Roger Magnusson. Philip Åkerman scored 0-7 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mateo Michael, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 65 minutes Atlético Nuevo Laredo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Pierre-Emile Højbjerg who took care of the corner kick. After a rather tough play, Atlético Nuevo Laredo's Rigoberto Olentzaro got a free kick in the 66th minute. Vitaliy van der Aa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mateo Michael having to make a save. 68 minutes into the match, Atlético Nuevo Laredo's goalkeeper Mateo Michael had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vitaliy van der Aa. A collision led to Atlético Nuevo Laredo getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Rigoberto Olentzaro hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Philip Åkerman got free with Mateo Michael in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 81st minute, GrassNuts FC's Pierre-Emile Højbjerg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-8. Pierre-Emile Højbjerg hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Vitaliy van der Aa struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Mateo Michael didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GrassNuts FC. Philip Åkerman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Philip Åkerman made a precise shot to the right of Mateo Michael. Atlético Nuevo Laredo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-9. The Atlético Nuevo Laredo fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. GrassNuts FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
