Cristiano Aveiro made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Adam Vase sent off a good shot on target. Iwan Lepucki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grabiel Escorcia in the 12th minute of play. The supporters of LavAzzA booed when Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Luis Rodríguez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute Grabiel Escorcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iwan Lepucki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by LavAzzA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. But to his dismay, Grabiel Escorcia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 24 minutes into the match, Nacional's goal looked a bit too open when Gaudencio Lekubegi came free, but Cristiano Aveiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Kuno Kubin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristiano Aveiro. Nacional's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kuno Kubin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After a rather tough play, Nacional's Xu Sha got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After 36 minutes LavAzzA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Xu Sha who took care of the corner kick. Walter Geromel was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. With an all-out effort, LavAzzA's Cristiano Aveiro threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gaudencio Lekubegi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Grabiel Escorcia came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Nacional fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Grabiel Escorcia couldn't finish the play. In the 59th minute Adam Vase shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Aveiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Grabiel Escorcia in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iwan Lepucki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristiano Aveiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xavier von Felten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
