In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nacional's goalkeeper Cristiano Aveiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nacional were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Atlético Nuevo Laredo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Xu Sha took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Atlético Nuevo Laredo's goalie and right to Joseph Gayoso. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Atlético Nuevo Laredo's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Cristiano Aveiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Rojas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Rojas in the 13th minute of play forced Nacional's goalkeeper Cristiano Aveiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Rodrigo Rojas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristiano Aveiro was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. In the 15thth minute of the game Grabiel Escorcia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético Nuevo Laredo's Mateo Michael was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mateo Michael didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Grabiel Escorcia went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 25th minute, Grabiel Escorcia made a precise shot to the right of Mateo Michael. Atlético Nuevo Laredo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 28th minute, Tobías Astorga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristiano Aveiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After a rather tough play, Atlético Nuevo Laredo's Rigoberto Olentzaro got a free kick in the 30th minute. Grabiel Escorcia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mateo Michael read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. In the 36th minute, Atlético Nuevo Laredo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Grabiel Escorcia fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Grabiel Escorcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mateo Michael took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Grabiel Escorcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mateo Michael made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Grabiel Escorcia sent off a good shot on target. Atlético Nuevo Laredo's Mateo Michael proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Nuevo Laredo from getting a goal against them. Flavio Etxatxu kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the game, Grabiel Escorcia recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mateo Michael. Grabiel Escorcia showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

Valentin Orlan's late challenge caught a Nacional's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valentin Orlan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th minute Grabiel Escorcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateo Michael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grabiel Escorcia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mateo Michael having to make a save. 61 minutes into the game, Joseph Gayoso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Mateo Michael was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nacional made a substitution. Walme Yurre replaced Mendiko Bueres. Mateo Michael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grabiel Escorcia in the 66th minute of the match. Grabiel Escorcia might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mateo Michael. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Grabiel Escorcia ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grabiel Escorcia in the 81st minute of play forced Atlético Nuevo Laredo's goalkeeper Mateo Michael to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xu Sha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Grabiel Escorcia in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mateo Michael prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 91 minutes Atlético Nuevo Laredo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Xu Sha who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Joseph Gayoso heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Grabiel Escorcia scored 8-1 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mateo Michael, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. There was no doubt that Nacional were the better team. Nacional's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
