In the 14th minute of the match Alemannia Aachen got a corner. • REGINA •'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Manfred Kottsieper ran over to the corner to take the kick. Celso Poncio kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, • REGINA •'s goal looked a bit too open when Valter Xabat came free, but Dobromir Szarmach reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute, Thomas Müller got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Csaba Markovits in the 27th minute of play forced Alemannia Aachen's goalkeeper Jess Carnduff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. • REGINA •'s Dobromir Szarmach played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valter Xabat in the 29th minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, Valter Xabat cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Dobromir Szarmach was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 31 minutes into the match, Valter Xabat notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of • REGINA •'s Dobromir Szarmach. Dobromir Szarmach was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Laureano Primeiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valter Xabat in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dobromir Szarmach saved • REGINA • from getting behind. 54 minutes into the match, Alemannia Aachen's Valter Xabat sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dobromir Szarmach narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dobromir Szarmach was a little too slow when Valter Xabat got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 0-4. Dobromir Szarmach showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valter Xabat, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Alemannia Aachen were awarded a corner in the 59th minute after • REGINA •'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Manfred Kottsieper took the corner. The corner led Alemannia Aachen's Aulis Salomaa to fire away a dangerous shot which Dobromir Szarmach despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 59th minute, Alemannia Aachen's Aulis Salomaa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dobromir Szarmach. Dobromir Szarmach yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Aulis Salomaa made in the 62nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by • REGINA •'s Albino Sol. Thanks to some nice moves Thomas Müller could shoot a difficult shot in the 63rd minute, which Dobromir Szarmach however easily saved by the left post. • REGINA • made a substitution. Agustin Artal replaced Baldomero Emenon. Alemannia Aachen's Louis Leißner managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Agustin Artal in the 73 minute of the game. Dobromir Szarmach showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valter Xabat in the 73rd minute of the match. • REGINA • made a substitution. Andres Guardado replaced Csaba Markovits. • REGINA •'s Nunez Gonzo was substituted for Celso Poncio. A collision led to • REGINA • getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Jonas Verdonckt hit a great ball. In the 81st minute Valter Xabat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dobromir Szarmach saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in • REGINA •'s zone, Valter Xabat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dobromir Szarmach came out of the goal and Valter Xabat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Alemannia Aachen supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Alemannia Aachen would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
