Errecaborda AFC's Emílio Terra was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mateo Michael in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 11 minutes into the game, Joe Tate recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mateo Michael. Joe Tate showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Mateo Michael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joe Tate in the 14th minute of the match. When Rodrigo Rojas came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Atlético Nuevo Laredo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodrigo Rojas couldn't finish the play. Mateo Michael made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emílio Terra in the 17th minute. Mateo Michael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prospero Jerardo in the 21st minute of play. After having played for 23 minutes, Emílio Terra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Errecaborda AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emílio Terra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Atlético Nuevo Laredo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Emílio Terra scored to the left of an out of position Mateo Michael, making the score, 2-0. Mateo Michael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Rameriz, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The long shot by Emílio Terra in the 30th minute really tested Mateo Michael's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 32 minutes, Clemente Silviano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Errecaborda AFC and the Atlético Nuevo Laredo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Clemente Silviano hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Atlético Nuevo Laredo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Mauro Rameriz scored to the left of an out of position Mateo Michael, making the score, 4-0. The supporters of Errecaborda AFC booed when Atlético Nuevo Laredo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Larpe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mateo Michael was a little too slow when Emílio Terra got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 5-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rodrigo Rojas to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joe Tate in the 58th minute of play forced Atlético Nuevo Laredo's goalkeeper Mateo Michael to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the game, Joe Tate cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Mateo Michael was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 65th minute, Emílio Terra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Errecaborda AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. Mateo Michael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emílio Terra, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Mateo Michael stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emílio Terra's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. After 70 minutes, Emílio Terra made it 8-0 with a short kick to the right side. Atlético Nuevo Laredo's Mateo Michael tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Atlético Nuevo Laredo's Mateo Michael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prospero Jerardo in the 75th minute of play. Jonathan Martxot charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Mateo Michael was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 95 played minutes Atlético Nuevo Laredo got a freekick which was hit by Tobías Astorga.
