The audience was convinced that Valter Xabat's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ysmael Marfil was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Ysmael Marfil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valter Xabat, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Alemannia Aachen's Mateusz Rydel quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 41 played minutes Alemannia Aachen got a freekick which was hit by La Rat. 42 minutes into the match, Leonard Demian sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Jess Carnduff threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Leonard Demian this time. Valter Xabat took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ysmael Marfil. Ysmael Marfil dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valter Xabat to make the kick off. Alemannia Aachen's Mateusz Rydel managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Dorin Agârbiceanu in the 51 minute of the game. Ysmael Marfil stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valter Xabat's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Jess Carnduff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucrețiu Nicodim, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Manfred Kottsieper's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ysmael Marfil firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 60th minute of the match Alemannia Aachen got a corner. DINAMO's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ysmael Marfil made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. 64 minutes into the match, DINAMO's goal looked a bit too open when Manfred Kottsieper came free, but Ysmael Marfil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by DINAMO's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valter Xabat got free with Ysmael Marfil in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Alemannia Aachen getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Thomas Müller hit a great ball. In the 90th minute, Valter Xabat reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ysmael Marfil. The goal made the score 0-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manfred Kottsieper got free with Ysmael Marfil in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alemannia Aachen's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
