Iustinian Ceaușescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ariel Jesus in the 11th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Didžiasalis Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Rune Fastesson came free, but Iustinian Ceaușescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Laurynas Pukelis fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Didžiasalis Utd's protests and gave Laurynas Pukelis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th match minute, Didžiasalis Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurynas Pukelis to maneuver through the defense. After 23 played minutes Didžiasalis Utd got a freekick which was hit by Kajus Kiškunas. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ariel Jesus in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iustinian Ceaușescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 26th minute of the match ACF Fiorentina got a corner. Didžiasalis Utd's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ciriaco Urdaspal ran over to the corner to take the kick. ACF Fiorentina's Ciriaco Urdaspal was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Iustinian Ceaușescu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 27 minutes into the match, Didžiasalis Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Ariel Jesus came free, but Iustinian Ceaușescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 27 minutes of play, ACF Fiorentina's Ariel Jesus made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iustinian Ceaușescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Iustinian Ceaușescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ariel Jesus's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. The audience was convinced that Ariel Jesus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iustinian Ceaușescu was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. In the 37th minute ACF Fiorentina were awarded a corner. Ciriaco Urdaspal went to the cornerflag to take it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anselmo Luar during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to ACF Fiorentina getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Anselmo Luar hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Ariel Jesus sped through Didžiasalis Utd's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Iustinian Ceaușescu. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ariel Jesus made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Ariel Jesus put it in 1-5 from a short distance just to the right of Iustinian Ceaușescu. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ariel Jesus in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iustinian Ceaușescu saved Didžiasalis Utd from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Ariel Jesus put it in 1-6 from a short distance just to the right of Iustinian Ceaușescu. ACF Fiorentina's Hildeberto Carvalho was substituted for Bengt-Rune Fastesson. Maximino Cabezon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Iustinian Ceaușescu made a huge save. In the 66th minute, Maximino Cabezon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 72nd minute, ACF Fiorentina's Maximino Cabezon ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Iustinian Ceaușescu. Iustinian Ceaușescu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-8. Iustinian Ceaușescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximino Cabezon in the 76th minute. If Isaac Intxixu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Maximino Cabezon took a quick shot and it went in 1-10 without a chance for Iustinian Ceaușescu to make any attempt to save it. After 94 played minutes ACF Fiorentina got a freekick which was hit by Hu Xi. The ACF Fiorentina players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
