Spectators: 37 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Hulk Speed got the match started through his kick off. When Michel Haaland came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Roceira SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michel Haaland couldn't finish the play. In the 5th minute of the match Kryspin Banach shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcelinho Barral showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Roceira SC's Marcelinho Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anestis Kotsopoulos in the 6th minute of play. Uwe Ziege made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michel Haaland in the 10th minute of play. 10 minutes into the game, Michel Haaland cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Uwe Ziege was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tobiasz Zbytniewski kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Michel Haaland's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Uwe Ziege was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Marcelinho Barral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anestis Kotsopoulos in the 23rd minute of play. Roceira SC's Marcelinho Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anestis Kotsopoulos in the 24th minute of play. After 40 played minutes Rot-Weiss-Essen got a freekick which was hit by Mesut Özil. Rot-Weiss-Essen's Uwe Ziege played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michel Haaland in the 43rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Hulk Speed managed to get in a good position for a shot. Roceira SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hulk Speed was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Uwe Ziege breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 45th minute, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Octavian Basten dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Octavian Basten to strike the kick off in the second half. Hulk Speed received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Uwe Ziege tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute Mesut Özil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelinho Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 59 minutes on the clock, Valdo das Neves commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 58th minute, one of Roceira SC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Roceira SC. Marcelinho Barral didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maximilian Henning went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Flavio Canal hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Rot-Weiss-Essen's Uwe Ziege played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michel Haaland in the 66th minute of play. In the 67th play minute Válter Fontes came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Uwe Ziege. 2-2. Luís Paulo Trevisan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uwe Ziege having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 71 minutes, Uwe Ziege successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Hulk Speed came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Roceira SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hulk Speed couldn't finish the play. Uwe Ziege showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hulk Speed in the 74th minute of the match. Uwe Ziege came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Roceira SC's Hulk Speed. But to his dismay, Hulk Speed quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. After 76 minutes of play, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Anestis Kotsopoulos made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelinho Barral was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hulk Speed sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Roceira SC defense, Hugo Haupt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelinho Barral. The Roceira SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelinho Barral should have stopped the shot. If Hulk Speed had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. Uwe Ziege showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Válter Fontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After 92 played minutes Rot-Weiss-Essen got a freekick which was hit by Maximilian Henning. Marcelinho Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mesut Özil in the 96th minute of the match. Marcelinho Barral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mesut Özil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
