An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavian Basten in the 15th minute of play forced Matanza and Steelers's goalkeeper Renan Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ulrico Herzog to strike the kick off in the second half. Hugo Haupts short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Renan Mendes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Hugo Haupt had several of the Matanza and Steelers's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 52 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-1 score and a disappointed Renan Mendes as he didn't even see the shot coming. Renan Mendes made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Mesut Özil sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Jimmy Örtendal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matanza and Steelers's supporters rose to their feet, but Jimmy Örtendal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. August Hoffmanns breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Renan Mendes was a little too slow when Octavian Basten got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 3-2. 63 minutes into the game, Octavian Basten cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Renan Mendes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 67 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goal looked a bit too open when Ulrico Herzog came free, but August Hoffmanns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hugo Haupt got free with Renan Mendes in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Matanza and Steelers's Renan Mendes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anestis Kotsopoulos in the 69th minute of play. After 70 minutes Matanza and Steelers's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Maximilian Henning who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Maximilian Henning almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Matanza and Steelers's Renan Mendes did a great save. With an all-out effort, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Renan Mendes threw himself towards the right post 76 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mesut Özil, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimmy Örtendal in the 78th minute of play. August Hoffmanns showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulrico Herzog, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Matanza and Steelers's Renan Mendes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Matanza and Steelers from getting a goal against them. Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jimmy Örtendal ran over to the corner to take the kick. Matanza and Steelers's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
