The audience thought a goal was coming when Emiliano Fidele got free with Yngve Fredriksson in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Djurgårdens IF's Yngve Fredriksson got control of the ball when Emiliano Fidele tried to sneak it across the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Djurgårdens IF's goalkeeper Yngve Fredriksson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ash Sands. In the 23rd minute Harchester United were awarded a corner. Arthur Geneste went to the cornerflag to take it. Jakob Nordström kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Emiliano Fidele scored 1-0 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yngve Fredriksson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Yngve Fredriksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiliano Fidele in the 31st minute of the match. In the 34th minute of the match, Emiliano Fidele got a very nice opportunity to score, but Yngve Fredriksson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 35th minute of the match, Sebati Çiftçibaşı tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Yngve Fredriksson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Emiliano Fidele could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Yngve Fredriksson made a huge save. Djurgårdens IF's Yngve Fredriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Randall Burton in the 43rd minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Karl-Åke Termander made a kick off. Yngve Fredriksson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiliano Fidele, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute of the match Arthur Geneste sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Yngve Fredriksson skillfully saved the ball. In the 56th minute Hieronim Posadzki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Neil Long saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Sebati Çiftçibaşı had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yngve Fredriksson. Djurgårdens IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sebati Çiftçibaşı was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 61 minutes into the match, Djurgårdens IF's goal looked a bit too open when Sebati Çiftçibaşı came free, but Yngve Fredriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebati Çiftçibaşı sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Neil Long made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tobias Pettersson in the 68th minute. Harchester United's Neil Long played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Åke Termander in the 69th minute of play. Neil Long showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tobias Pettersson in the 84th minute of the match. After 88 played minutes Harchester United got a freekick which was hit by Veli Özcam. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Fidele in the 95th minute of play forced Djurgårdens IF's goalkeeper Yngve Fredriksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Harchester United players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
