Kyle Cox sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Reynaldo Arotza kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Khalid Kennedy. That made the score 1-1 in the 48 minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Reynaldo Arotza was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Murciélagos FC's Dante Guerau got a free kick in the 53rd minute. The England fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when England's Kyle Cox looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Eddie Willis didn't get a good kick on the ball. 61 minutes into the game, Teobaldo Pero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Khalid Kennedy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rodolfo Romero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kyle Cox, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Rodolfo Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kyle Cox in the 65th minute of play. In the 84th minute, Lisandro Balendin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kyle Cox might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodolfo Romero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kyle Cox ran back to his position shaking his head. Murciélagos FC's Rodolfo Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyle Cox in the 89th minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
