With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antonio Florinio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of La Guardia Imperial booed when Desportivo Coala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wágner Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gervasio Guillelmo to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, La Guardia Imperial's goal looked a bit too open when Wágner Andrade came free, but Antonio Florinio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Desportivo Coala played a much better game than La Guardia Imperial and deserved their victory. The La Guardia Imperial players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
