A throw-in in the 12th minute of the game was made by Jorginho Ferreira with Paulo Godoi as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 29 minutes in the game Ernani Velasco did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Paulo Godoi. Romeo Cangeopol made in the 30th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Iuri Barral. A collision led to Palestra do Interior getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Hudson Sergipano hit a great ball. In the 41st match minute, Palestra do Interior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorginho Ferreira to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Relyn Futebol Clube's Gabriel Vinhas got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gabriel Vinhas to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match, Ulises Dominguez tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Durval Marinho saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 57 minutes into the match, Relyn Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Godoi came free, but Durval Marinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Palestra do Interior's Allan Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Vinhas in the 64th minute of play. Allan Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Vinhas in the 68th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Relyn Futebol Clube's zone, Paulo Godoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Durval Marinho came out of the goal and Paulo Godoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Palestra do Interior made a substitution. Niclas Danielsson replaced Hudson Sergipano. Magno Diniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Durval Marinho came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Palestra do Interior's Vitório Lago. But to his dismay, Vitório Lago quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Palestra do Interior walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
