After the first half SeleSantos FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Niilo Mikkola made a kick off. Dinei Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nildo Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 75 minutes into the match, Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Diguinho da Mata had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedrão Godoi. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SeleSantos FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
