The audience thought a goal was coming when Curt Montes got free with Dinei Pinheiro in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dinei Pinheiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Inácio Freitas's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Dinei Pinheiro was out of position in the 12 minute of play, and Curt Montes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Curt Montes really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. SeleSantos FC's Dinei Pinheiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save SeleSantos FC from getting a goal against them. 24 minutes into the match, SeleSantos FC's goalkeeper Dinei Pinheiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Michael Meertens. Florin Susaras short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Dinei Pinheiro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dinei Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inácio Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. A collision led to SeleSantos FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Daniel Montenegro hit a great ball. In the 53rd minute, Curt Montes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dinei Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inácio Freitas in the 56th minute of play. With his leg Zézinho Simões managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when SeleSantos FC's Niilo Mikkola fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in MarquinhosEC's zone, Leif Törnqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zézinho Simões came out of the goal and Leif Törnqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Florin Susara struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Dinei Pinheiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MarquinhosEC. 95 minutes into the match, MarquinhosEC's Inácio Freitas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dinei Pinheiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
