FC Lewix's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eike Hain was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eike Hain in the 20th minute of play forced GitGelGele's goalkeeper Ahmet Emir Başeğmez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, GitGelGele's Çağdaş Kamber got a free kick in the 21st minute. 26 minutes into the match, GitGelGele's goal looked a bit too open when Eike Hain came free, but Ahmet Emir Başeğmez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mehmet Ali Başeğmez struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Stefan Nülle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GitGelGele. After having played for 33 minutes, Shawn Hambrecht managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ferman Yakup recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to GitGelGele getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Nejat Çağnur hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Stefan Nülle was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nikolaus Max made in the 71st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ambrosius Stahlschmidt. 75 minutes into the match, GitGelGele's goalkeeper Ahmet Emir Başeğmez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Shawn Hambrecht. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ambrosius Stahlschmidt during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. GitGelGele's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eike Hain was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see GitGelGele lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
