He was immediately shown a red card. In the 25th minute, one of Thē Ŵhïppętś:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Thē Ŵhïppętś. Dimos Mavromichalis shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Agesilaus Lalagos came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Thē Ŵhïppętś's Carlton Norman. But to his dismay, Carlton Norman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Wayne Rooney sped through Asproyerakáta's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Agesilaus Lalagos. The Thē Ŵhïppętś fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when Thē Ŵhïppętś's Marcus Rashford looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alkyoneus Mitsinikos was the one to do the kick off. After 52 minutes, Romeo Lemerond mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Thē Ŵhïppętś and the Asproyerakáta players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 53 played minutes Thē Ŵhïppętś got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Lemerond. 58 minutes into the match, Alkyoneus Mitsinikos notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Thē Ŵhïppętś's Kelvin Stiles. Kelvin Stiles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marcus Rashfords short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Agesilaus Lalagos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Kelvin Stiles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alkyoneus Mitsinikos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the game, Marcus Rashford cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Agesilaus Lalagos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Carlton Norman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Agesilaus Lalagos made a huge save. In the 77th minute of the match Thē Ŵhïppętś got a corner. Asproyerakáta's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Johnathon Haigh ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Thē Ŵhïppętś's Johnathon Haigh to fire away a dangerous shot which Agesilaus Lalagos despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wayne Rooney in the 79th minute of play forced Asproyerakáta's goalkeeper Agesilaus Lalagos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agesilaus Lalagos came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Thē Ŵhïppętś's Marcus Rashford. But to his dismay, Marcus Rashford quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-8. In the 93rd minute, Marcus Rashford got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wayne Rooney recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
