Hias Nüssli came out and tried to block the shot, but Gwidon Jaroch slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. Edmund Smuskiewicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Edmund Smuskiewicz came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Dorren fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmund Smuskiewicz couldn't finish the play. 20 minutes into the game, Bogumil Warka recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hias Nüssli. Bogumil Warka showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. After 24 minutes Switzerland's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Korneliusz Dresik who took care of the corner kick. Edmund Smuskiewicz was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. With a little luck, Switzerland's Hias Nüssli got control of the ball when Gwidon Jaroch tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 29th minute of the match Dorren got a corner. Switzerland's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Korneliusz Dresik ran over to the corner to take the kick.
