With 5 minutes on the clock, Christoffer Ekren commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee gave Alpina FC a penalty, 6 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dirk Damman, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gullstad SK's Odd-Eirik Kruse. 0-1. 12 minutes into the game, Daniel Alves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Odd-Eirik Kruse was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 1-2 became the score in the 16th minute when Martin Onofre elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 20th match minute, Gullstad SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mircea Balint to maneuver through the defense. Dirk Damman struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Odd-Eirik Kruse didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alpina FC. Cezary Owsiak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the game, Baysal Akdiken was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gullstad SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alpina FC the free kick. In the 30th minute, Alexander Van Hautvinck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Denis Prezan kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After 38 played minutes, Alpina FC's Christoffel Tobbackers shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Odd-Eirik Kruse came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Alpina FC reached it. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Alexander Van Hautvinck sped through Gullstad SK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Odd-Eirik Kruse. In the 42nd match minute, Gullstad SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Birk Vestre to maneuver through the defense. Christoffel Tobbackers hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The Gullstad SK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Alpina FC were winning 1-3.

Gullstad SK's Odd-Eirik Kruse proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Gullstad SK from getting a goal against them. In the 59th minute, Daniel Alves made a precise shot to the right of Odd-Eirik Kruse. Gullstad SK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. Odd-Eirik Kruse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cezary Owsiak in the 71st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Gullstad SK's Baysal Akdiken got a free kick in the 94th minute. Alpina FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
