A collision led to Espen Steelers getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Ştefan Lupea hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Nikola Portner successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Mounir Perry made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian von Moos in the 22nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Eddy Million's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nikola Portner was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Espen Steelers's Nikola Portner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eddy Million in the 32nd minute of play. In the 36th minute, Ştefan Lupea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Espen Steelers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Nikola Portner stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eddy Million's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Nikola Portner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eddy Million in the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andy Schmid stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eddy Million recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 50th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eddy Million in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nikola Portner prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by J.P. Kapar in the 59th minute of play forced Espen Steelers's goalkeeper Nikola Portner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by J.P.
