When Primitivo Grau came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Primitivo Grau couldn't finish the play. Primitivo Grau might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Santiago Gaizko. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Primitivo Grau ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Primitivo Grau's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Santiago Gaizko was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Santiago Gaizko stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Primitivo Grau's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Ivan Chiuzbaian had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rosendo Sanson. After 20 minutes of play, Lunatico F.C's Eray Bilen made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ivan Chiuzbaian was left in no man's land by his defense there! Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Ivan Chiuzbaian proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- from getting a goal against them. In the 27thth minute of the game Moises Cilio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Ivan Chiuzbaian was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 29 minutes, Zhao Sen Yang managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Zhao Sen Yang was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Ivan Chiuzbaian, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Santiago Gaizko didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zhao Sen Yang went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zhao Sen Yang to make the kick off. Paulo Feliu kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Santiago Gaizko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İlhami Akyazıcı in the 52nd minute of play. Santiago Gaizko came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Zhao Sen Yang. But to his dismay, Zhao Sen Yang quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. 61 minutes into the match, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Moises Cilio came free, but Ivan Chiuzbaian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- booed when Lunatico F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damián Andres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zhao Sen Yang could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Santiago Gaizko made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Lunatico F.C's zone, Zhao Sen Yang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santiago Gaizko came out of the goal and Zhao Sen Yang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lunatico F.C's Anıl Timurtas was substituted for Eray Bilen. Lunatico F.C's Joël Devidal was substituted for Rosendo Sanson. Lunatico F.C made a substitution. Jouke Krol replaced Moises Cilio. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- made a substitution. Emil Wielopolski replaced Grigore Maghiran. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zhao Sen Yang got free with Santiago Gaizko in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 79 minutes into the match, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Jouke Krol came free, but Ivan Chiuzbaian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lunatico F.C's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Celso Berdoi in the 84th minute. Lunatico F.C's Celso Berdoi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ivan Chiuzbaian in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
