Richard Spiering made in the 10th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Reinier Ieberink immediately put the ball in play. Edgardo Oinaz made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Vivaldo Carmona sent off a good shot on target. Vinícius Junior fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Paulo Paraíba having to interfere. In the 22nd minute Vinícius Junior shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Paulo Paraíba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Paulo Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinícius Junior in the 26th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Real Cruzeiro FC's Edgar da Costa got a free kick in the 30th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Real Cruzeiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vinícius Junior came free, but Luís Paulo Paraíba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Paulo Paraíba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vinícius Junior's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. With a little luck, Stommeer A's Edgardo Oinaz got control of the ball when Vivaldo Carmona tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luís Paulo Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damien Roetering, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luís Paulo Paraíba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martijn Jol, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 39th minute, Martijn Jol ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Paulo Paraíba was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 42nd minute Vinícius Junior shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Paulo Paraíba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinícius Junior in the 43rd minute of play forced Real Cruzeiro FC's goalkeeper Luís Paulo Paraíba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute, Edgar da Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the match, Stommeer A's goalkeeper Edgardo Oinaz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vivaldo Carmona.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vinícius Junior made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Reinier Ieberink kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luís Paulo Paraíba. That made the score 0-3 in the 53 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martijn Jol in the 56th minute of play forced Real Cruzeiro FC's goalkeeper Luís Paulo Paraíba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Real Cruzeiro FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Paulo Paraíba should have stopped the shot. When Real Cruzeiro FC's Baltazar Zonta in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Stommeer A's goalie prevented a goal. 76 minutes into the match, Vinícius Junior had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luís Paulo Paraíba. Real Cruzeiro FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vinícius Junior was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Vinícius Junior's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 79thth minute, Luís Paulo Paraíba skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Real Cruzeiro FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Martijn Jol scored to the left of an out of position Luís Paulo Paraíba, making the score, 0-7. 85 minutes into the match, Real Cruzeiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Martijn Jol came free, but Luís Paulo Paraíba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Stommeer A's Damien Roetering slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Luís Paulo Paraíba. That made the score 0-8 after 88 minutes of play. In the 90th match minute, Real Cruzeiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldo Nazário De Lima to maneuver through the defense. 95 minutes into the match, Martijn Jol notched a goal, 0-9, to the right of Real Cruzeiro FC's Luís Paulo Paraíba. Luís Paulo Paraíba was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match was over Stommeer A could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Real Cruzeiro FC throughout the match.
