The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 11th minute of the game. One of La Guardia Imperial:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lunatico F.C:s goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moises Cilio in the 15th minute of play forced La Guardia Imperial's goalkeeper Atilano Esiquio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. La Guardia Imperial's Atilano Esiquio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Cilio in the 18th minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Benigno Bermund was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Guardia Imperial's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lunatico F.C the free kick. After a rather tough play, La Guardia Imperial's Benigno Bermund got a free kick in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moises Cilio in the 26th minute of play forced La Guardia Imperial's goalkeeper Atilano Esiquio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardo Laurin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Lunatico F.C's zone, Carlos Teves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santiago Gaizko came out of the goal and Carlos Teves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Atilano Esiquio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Moises Cilio's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. 37 minutes into the game, Tomás Carlovich threw the ball into play from the sideline. Lunatico F.C's Damián Andres quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moises Cilio in the 41st minute of play forced La Guardia Imperial's goalkeeper Atilano Esiquio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Lunatico F.C's Anastasio Fliz got a free kick in the 45th minute. The long shot by Marcial Abaunza in the 47th minute really tested Santiago Gaizko's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Teves to make the kick off. Santiago Gaizko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Teves in the 51st minute of play. When Moises Cilio came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Lunatico F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moises Cilio couldn't finish the play. After 54 played minutes Lunatico F.C got a freekick which was hit by Anastasio Fliz. With his leg Atilano Esiquio managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Lunatico F.C's Moises Cilio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Lunatico F.C were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after La Guardia Imperial's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Moises Cilio took the corner. After taking down the ball on Lunatico F.C's corner Moises Cilio fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Atilano Esiquio quite easily take care of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Moises Cilio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Atilano Esiquio. That made the score 0-2 in the 67 minute of play. Lunatico F.C made a substitution. Anıl Timurtas replaced Eray Bilen. In the 71st minute, Lunatico F.C's Jouke Krol dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. After a rather tough play, Lunatico F.C's Celso Berdoi got a free kick in the 73rd minute. 76 minutes into the match, La Guardia Imperial's goalkeeper Atilano Esiquio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jouke Krol. A collision led to Lunatico F.C getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Joël Devidal hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Teves in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santiago Gaizko saved Lunatico F.C from getting behind. Jouke Krol's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Atilano Esiquio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Lunatico F.C eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
