Baltazar Zonta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Ramon Lopez made a huge save. 6 minutes into the match, Bebeto Chaves notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Real Cruzeiro FC's Luís Paulo Paraíba. Luís Paulo Paraíba was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Real Cruzeiro FC's Luís Paulo Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bebeto Chaves in the 9th minute of play. Ramon Lopez made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Nelson de Lima sent off a good shot on target. Luís Paulo Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bebeto Chaves in the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justino Montrelle in the 17th minute of play forced Real Cruzeiro FC's goalkeeper Luís Paulo Paraíba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bebeto Chaves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tales Salgado kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. When Dennis Espeland fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Corralito AFC's protests and gave Dennis Espeland a yellow card for diving instead. After 30 played minutes Corralito AFC got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Espeland. Ramon Lopez made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Nelson de Lima sent off a good shot on target. Baltazar Zonta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramon Lopez having to interfere. With a little luck, Corralito AFC's Ramon Lopez got control of the ball when Vivaldo Carmona tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bebeto Chaves to strike the kick off in the second half. Ramon Lopez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vivaldo Carmona in the 53rd minute of the match. The supporters of Corralito AFC booed when Real Cruzeiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giuseppe de Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luís Paulo Paraíba came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Corralito AFC's Bebeto Chaves. But to his dismay, Bebeto Chaves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After a rather tough play, Real Cruzeiro FC's Nico Zonta got a free kick in the 61st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bebeto Chaves got free with Luís Paulo Paraíba in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bebeto Chaves scored 0-3 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luís Paulo Paraíba, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bebeto Chaves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Luís Paulo Paraíba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tales Salgado kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Baltazar Zonta struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Ramon Lopez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Cruzeiro FC. Luís Paulo Paraíba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bebeto Chaves, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Luís Paulo Paraíba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bebeto Chaves in the 86th minute. Baltazar Zonta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bebeto Chaves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Paulo Paraíba having to interfere. When the match was over Corralito AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Real Cruzeiro FC throughout the match.
