Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) 4 minutes into the match, Guillaume Laurent Benmabrouk dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arnout Reekers, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in THE OLD BOYS's zone, Gustaaf Groeneveldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hamid Morceli came out of the goal and Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Abdelkader Merbah tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abdelkader Merbah in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnout Reekers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 16th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathijn Doctor to maneuver through the defense. Hamid Morceli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 36th minute of the match. A collision led to THE OLD BOYS getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Abdelkader Merbah hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rabah Timsit got free with Arnout Reekers in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 40th play minute Rabah Timsit came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Arnout Reekers. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 43rd minute of play forced THE OLD BOYS's goalkeeper Hamid Morceli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner ended in Gijsbert ter Kruimer almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but THE OLD BOYS's Hamid Morceli did a great save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rabah Timsit to strike the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Egbert Nijveldt. After a defensive mix-up in Netherlands's zone, Abdelkader Merbah stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal and Abdelkader Merbah tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fathi Ben Khalidi, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After a defensive mix-up in THE OLD BOYS's zone, Wim Wilmes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hamid Morceli came out of the goal and Wim Wilmes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamid Morceli having to interfere. Houari Rimitti kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Netherlands's Wim Wilmes got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hamid Morceli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 76th minute of the match. In the 77th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. THE OLD BOYS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. A very nice done corner allowed Lars Meesters to score against Hamid Morceli in THE OLD BOYS's goal. 2-1 after 77 minutes. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to THE OLD BOYS getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Hamid Abdessalam hit a great ball. Lars Meesters hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute, Rabah Timsit hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Many of Netherlands's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Netherlands may have spent more time on the ball, but THE OLD BOYS were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
