In the 18th minute, Marc Kronecker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the match, lyptus's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Schneider came free, but Sigfried Solbirk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Austria's goalkeeper Fabio Auer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Austria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabio Schneider was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sigfried Solbirk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Schneider in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hilbert Præstbrogaard to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Fabio Schneider got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aake Cederbro kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 58thth minute of the game Hilbert Præstbrogaard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Austria's Fabio Auer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. lyptus's Sigfried Solbirk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save lyptus from getting a goal against them. Theis Molberg got a throw-in 64 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Hilbert Præstbrogaard. Fabio Auer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenneth Pejstrup, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marvin Harrer hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After 75 played minutes lyptus got a freekick which was hit by Hilbert Præstbrogaard. Fabio Schneider was extremely unlucky when he, in the 83rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a rather tough play, lyptus's Aake Cederbro got a free kick in the 86th minute. Austria's Fabio Auer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ture Flintberg in the 89th minute of play. The supporters of Austria booed when lyptus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alf Toelhøj didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Kenneth Pejstrup came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the lyptus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kenneth Pejstrup couldn't finish the play. Marc Kronecker charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Fabio Auer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hilbert Præstbrogaard in the 97th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Austria players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
