Arnaldo de Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garcia Ompanera in the 10th minute of play. Gabon Manzardo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vivaldo Munhoz in the 12th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Goblins F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Garcia Ompanera came free, but Arnaldo de Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sixto Balderrama hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After 20 played minutes, Goblins F.C.'s Luís Guilherme da Silva shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gabon Manzardo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Goblins F.C. reached it. 28 minutes into the match, Vivaldo Munhoz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gabon Manzardo. Criciúma Esporte Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vivaldo Munhoz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. When Sixto Balderrama fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Criciúma Esporte Clube's protests and gave Sixto Balderrama a yellow card for diving instead. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vivaldo Munhoz was the one to do the kick off. Vicente Arruga was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 54 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute there was a penalty for Goblins F.C.. Luís Guilherme da Silva stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gabon Manzardo. 3-2. 59 minutes into the game, Ciro Fortes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Criciúma Esporte Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Goblins F.C. the free kick. In the 59th match minute, Criciúma Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Fortes to maneuver through the defense. Berdaitz Osorio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo de Carvalho having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Goblins F.C.'s goalkeeper Arnaldo de Carvalho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Garcia Ompanera. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zeca Carneiro during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ciro Fortes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo de Carvalho having to interfere.
