With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dênis de Almeida in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Matheus Carneiro saved Zemantauskas FC from getting behind. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zemantauskas FC's goalkeeper Matheus Carneiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Matheus Carneiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dênis de Almeida's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. The audience was convinced that Dênis de Almeida's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matheus Carneiro was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. In the 15th match minute, Zemantauskas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruninho Mangueira to maneuver through the defense. Dênis de Almeida might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Matheus Carneiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dênis de Almeida ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Dênis de Almeida put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Matheus Carneiro. 32 minutes into the match, Zemantauskas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dênis de Almeida came free, but Matheus Carneiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Agostinho Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maurinho Albuquerque during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Zemantauskas FC's Matheus Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dênis de Almeida in the 39th minute of play. If Agostinho Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45thth minute of the game Agostinho Borges who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zemantauskas FC's Matheus Carneiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 47th minute, Leopoldo Soeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dênis de Almeida to make the kick off. Dênis de Almeidas short, quick shot in the 51stth minute got Matheus Carneiro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dênis de Almeida in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matheus Carneiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zemantauskas FC's Matheus Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dênis de Almeida in the 59th minute of play. Maurinho Albuquerque kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Willian Carioca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goblins F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Willian Carioca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matheus Carneiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 70 minutes into the match Dênis de Almeida climbed in front of goal and pressed up 0-3 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Matheus Carneiro. The audience was convinced that Dênis de Almeida's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matheus Carneiro was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Geovânio Lara struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Matheus Carneiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goblins F.C.. Goblins F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Dênis de Almeida was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Matheus Carneiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dênis de Almeida in the 81st minute. In the 87th minute Goblins F.C. were awarded a corner. Willian Carioca went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Agostinho Saraiva heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Matheus Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dênis de Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 95th minute Dênis de Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matheus Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
