In the 11th minute, Sandro Galishoff got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 23rd minute, Quirze Orejo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ayapata FC's Carlos Caseda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandro Galishoff in the 28th minute of play. Simon Colmenero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 34 minutes into the match, Ayapata FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sandro Galishoff came free, but Carlos Caseda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Caseda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Schneider, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Austria's Fabio Auer got control of the ball when Chinto Cerdeira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chinto Cerdeira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Fabio Auer when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

After some careless play in the Ayapata FC defense, Sandro Galishoff kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Caseda. The Ayapata FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Caseda should have stopped the shot. Marvin Harrer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Carlos Caseda made a huge save. Simon Colmenero hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Carlos Caseda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Schneider, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. When Nico Waismann fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Austria's protests and gave Nico Waismann a yellow card for diving instead. After 66 played minutes Austria got a freekick which was hit by Nico Waismann. If Fabio Schneider had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Austria getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Marvin Harrer hit a great ball. A throw-in in the 76th minute of the game was made by Nico Waismann with Jonas Nalder as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Fabio Auer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chinto Cerdeira in the 81st minute of play. In the 82nd match minute, Austria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marc Kronecker to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Austria booed when Ayapata FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nahia Igual didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabio Schneider got free with Carlos Caseda in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Ayapata FC's Nahia Igual got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 94th minute Fabio Schneider shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Caseda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Austria supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Austria would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
