But to his dismay, Joery Uijterhoeven quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. When Mattijs Van Beylen fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alpina FC's protests and gave Mattijs Van Beylen a yellow card for diving instead. Jo Van Deijck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yan Moura in the 20th minute of play. After 27 played minutes Alpina FC got a freekick which was hit by Mattijs Van Beylen. In the 30th match minute, Alpina FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mattijs Van Beylen to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute of the match Rafael Paraíba shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jo Van Deijck showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 38th minute Faustão Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jo Van Deijck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Birger Panhuijsen charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Birger Panhuijsen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Alpina FC's Birger Panhuijsen got a free kick in the 40th minute. But to his dismay, Rafael Paraíba quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 46 minutes into the match, Alpina FC's goal looked a bit too open when Faustão Moreira came free, but Jo Van Deijck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Natã Gerber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mattijs Van Beylen, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After the first half Atlético da Colina were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yan Moura was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Alpina FC's Jo Van Deijck got control of the ball when Yan Moura tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Faustão Moreira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jo Van Deijck. That made the score 1-3 in the 54 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Joery Uijterhoeven put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Natã Gerber. Jo Van Deijck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustão Moreira in the 59th minute of play. Natã Gerber didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joery Uijterhoeven went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. After 66 minutes, Rui Cordeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético da Colina and the Alpina FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee gave Alpina FC a penalty, 67 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Lode Van Achteren, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Atlético da Colina's Natã Gerber. 4-3. After some careless play in the Atlético da Colina defense, Joery Uijterhoeven kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Natã Gerber. The Atlético da Colina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Natã Gerber should have stopped the shot. 82 minutes into the match, Faustão Moreira dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jo Van Deijck, 5-4. Hernani Mello could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Jo Van Deijck made a huge save. Atlético da Colina's Natã Gerber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattijs Van Beylen in the 89th minute of play. A collision led to Atlético da Colina getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Giuseppe Leal hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute, Joery Uijterhoeven got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 94th minute, Mattijs Van Beylen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Natã Gerber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joery Uijterhoeven in the 96th minute of the match. Alpina FC's Jo Van Deijck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustão Moreira in the 98th minute of play.
