The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeremias Urtsua during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 44th minute, Leonardo Rosado made a precise shot to the right of Pastor Favila. Apocalípticos & Caóticos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Sampaio in the 47th minute of play forced Apocalípticos & Caóticos's goalkeeper Pastor Favila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Clemente Txema stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Lauro Trigo mouthed his way into the referee's book. Alejandro Ciano charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alejandro Ciano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pastor Favila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo Sampaio in the 63rd minute of the match. Nereo Salomone charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nereo Salomone the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Apocalípticos & Caóticos getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Nereo Salomone hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Apocalípticos & Caóticos defense, Pedro Luís Saldanha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pastor Favila. The Apocalípticos & Caóticos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pastor Favila should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Mundial EC's Chicão de Brito slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pastor Favila. That made the score 0-3 after 79 minutes of play. Pastor Favila was a little too slow when Chicão de Brito got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 0-4. Mundial EC's Ruy Arce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clemente Txema in the 95th minute of play. The Mundial EC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
