An unexpectedly hard shot by Stamen Tekeliev in the 4th minute of play forced SLB TELHA's goalkeeper Bernardo Leiria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Stamen Tekeliev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bernardo Leiria made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Stamen Tekeliev sent off a good shot on target. After 8 played minutes Playa Malvín got a freekick which was hit by Gamus Rocha. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valério Vilaça in the 10th minute of play forced Playa Malvín's goalkeeper Zé Roberto Teixeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gonzalo Castro came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Playa Malvín fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gonzalo Castro couldn't finish the play. Playa Malvín's Zé Roberto Teixeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valério Vilaça in the 18th minute of play. After 20 minutes of play, Playa Malvín's Stamen Tekeliev made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernardo Leiria was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stamen Tekeliev in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernardo Leiria prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the SLB TELHA defense, Stamen Tekeliev kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernardo Leiria. The SLB TELHA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardo Leiria should have stopped the shot. SLB TELHA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Adão Maia in the 30th minute. Bernardo Leiria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stamen Tekeliev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, SLB TELHA's Bernardo Leiria got control of the ball when Stamen Tekeliev tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sandu Mândrilă made a great header on Playa Malvín's corner, it was just that SLB TELHA's Bernardo Leiria managed to reach the ball for a save.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stamen Tekeliev to make the kick off. Bernardo Leiria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niva Espellosa in the 71st minute of play. Bernardo Leiria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niva Espellosa in the 78th minute of the match. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind SLB TELHA's goalkeeper Bernardo Leiria, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bernardo Leiria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niva Espellosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Alexandre Barbosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zé Roberto Teixeira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. 93 minutes into the game, Niva Espellosa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Bernardo Leiria was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 97th minute Niva Espellosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Leiria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the SLB TELHA players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Playa Malvín.
