After a rather tough play, Curiphila Eagles's Téo Vianna got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 17thth minute of the game Jerry Lawler who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Curiphila Eagles's Percy Borges was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Curiphila Eagles's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Apollinaire Gousse scored to the left of an out of position Percy Borges, making the score, 2-0. Jerry Lawler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Percy Borges made a huge save. A collision led to Vancouver Reds getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Reuben Bunch hit a great ball. Apollinaire Gousse could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Percy Borges made a huge save. 35 minutes into the match, Jerry Lawler notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Curiphila Eagles's Percy Borges. Percy Borges was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Percy Borges stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jerry Lawler's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. 44 minutes into the match, Apollinaire Gousse had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Percy Borges. Curiphila Eagles's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Apollinaire Gousse was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Vancouver Reds's Nathan Descoteaux was substituted for Shelton Woodruff.
53 minutes into the game, Vancouver Reds's Jerry Lawler nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Percy Borges made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Cacá de Almeida hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the game, Jerry Lawler cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Percy Borges was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jerry Lawler in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Percy Borges prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jerry Lawler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Percy Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Apollinaire Gousse left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vancouver Reds fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. Frankie Carnes took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Percy Borges. Percy Borges dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. In the 77th match minute, Curiphila Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clóvis Leal to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jerry Lawler in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Vancouver Reds's Will McMahon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breno Simões in the 89th minute of play. After 92 minutes, Carlos Augusto Oliveira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Curiphila Eagles and the Vancouver Reds players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Vancouver Reds booed when Curiphila Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Augusto Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th match minute, Curiphila Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Augusto Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 96 minutes, Séverin Dent managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vancouver Reds's supporters crossed their fingers, but Séverin Dent was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There was no doubt that Vancouver Reds were the better team. Vancouver Reds's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
