The supporters of Palestra do Interior booed when Capibaribe Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albino Gaskon didn't get a good kick on the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Vitório Lago dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Thomás Toscano, 3-2. The Capibaribe Stars fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when Capibaribe Stars's Mohamed Basso looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vitório Lago could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Thomás Toscano made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Capibaribe Stars had won after a very even match.
