After a rather tough play, Borussia Dortmund MZB's Dante Hever got a free kick in the 19th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Kiko Fonseca in the 20th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Borussia Dortmund MZB's Dante Hever. Gianluigi Orange showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oséias Palmeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Coice de Mula's Gianluigi Orange played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oséias Palmeira in the 41st minute of play. Carlos Miguel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luís Fabiano Leão to strike the kick off in the second half. Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Miguel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The supporters of Coice de Mula booed when Borussia Dortmund MZB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clarence Seedorf didn't get a good kick on the ball. Coice de Mula's Norbert Kosowski got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Coice de Mula supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Coice de Mula would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
